Woodbine Lock-out is Over

Greetings,

I am pleased to announced that our DCL 533 members who work at the Slots at Woodbine have secured a new collective agreement.

The 400 workers had been locked out by the OLG for nearly three weeks, during which time pickets were held at the Woodbine site 7 days a week for over 12 hours a day.

The courage and commitment of these members cannot be overstated. They fought hard for a fair contract and stood together during an extremely difficult time.

I also want to thank all of our PSAC members, our staff, all the unions that came out to support us, the Ontario Federation of Labour, Canadian Labour Congress and the Toronto & York District Labour Council. You stood with us and that solidarity helped us achieve this win.
